Learn from Dr. Jackie Wilson, CEO of Three Rivers Adoption Council and Social Work Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, about how to successfully transition from college into a career in adoption. Dr. Wilson will share: what entry-level jobs are available in adoption, the skills that are needed to successfully perform these jobs, what to expect during your first year of employment and with your first set of clients. Students and early career professionals will learn how to "manage up" with your supervisor, impress your Executive Director, and collaborate well with your colleagues, all while supporting the needs of children and teens who are waiting to be adopted in foster care.
