National Matching Catalog
AEA’s Collaborate publication provides a unique opportunity for members to promote and showcase their waiting children and families throughout the AEA community. The catalog is shared with members of AEA only, not the general public, therefore it provides an outlet to promote waiting children whose recruitment is restricted by their county’s court system.
National Adoption Matching and Conference
Based on effective models around the country, AEA provides an unparalleled opportunity for members to present their waiting children and families to AEA’s national community through facilitated phone calls and an in-person matching event at the National Conference. Interjurisdictional placement guidance is also offered.
Our forums, Partners in Success, developed for senior leaders and state adoption managers tackle topics relevant to their work: leading child welfare organization through system change, integration, policy, human resources and more. These facilitated peer-to-peer webinar discussions provide access to other adoption leaders facing similar issues who can offer solutions and support.
Peer to Peer Publication
AEA’s Member of the Month publication highlights a member who has implemented a successful strategy to recruit or retain permanent homes for sibling groups, teens, LGBTQ youth and those with special medical needs.
Standards in Practice
As the country’s only national association of adoption exchanges, AEA’s Standards in Practice is codified by our Board of Directors, and issued especially for members. All member adhere to AEA’s standard in practice.
